Two key targets for Michigan football’s 2025 recruiting class have announced the dates they will publicly reveal their college commitments. Both prospects are key targets for the Wolverines as they look to build their future roster. The decisions of these recruits could significantly impact Michigan’s recruiting class, potentially bolstering the team with new talent and shaping their strategy moving forward. As the commitment dates approach, Michigan fans and coaching staff alike are eagerly anticipating their decisions.

Two Michigan football recruiting targets are set to announce their commitments next month, according to posts on twitter.

Four-star running back Iverson Howard had previously announced a commitment date but has postponed it due to what he described as an “inconvenience.”

At the time, it was unclear where Howard stood with Michigan football. However, he has an official visit scheduled for June and a new decision date set for June 18th.

Howard, ranked No. 382 overall in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings, will visit Michigan, Florida State, and Maryland. Michigan is also hosting other running back prospects, adding some uncertainty to the recruitment landscape. Howard’s visit to Michigan on June 7th should provide more clarity, though he will visit Maryland after his commitment date.

Despite the uncertainty, if Michigan decides to prioritize Howard, they could have a good chance of landing him. This is just one perspective, though, and recruiting outcomes can be unpredictable.

Ja’Don Blair Also Sets Commitment Date

There’s no doubt about where Ja’Don Blair stands on the Michigan football recruiting board.

The 6-foot-4, 190-pound safety, ranked No. 160 overall in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings, has scheduled his commitment date. Blair will take official visits to Michigan, South Carolina, Notre Dame, Penn State, and Florida State.

This recruitment feels very winnable for the Wolverines, with much depending on the official visits. Blair will reportedly announce his decision on July 5th, giving Michigan a chance to make a strong impression before the elite defensive back makes his announcement.
